Small Space Residential Project
Project Goal
To design a sustainable and spatially efficient home for a father daughter pair in which they can live happily and comfortably as they go through life. The design should foster a connection with nature and be universally designed so that it is flexible enough to support both the father and the daughter in a small space.

Concept Statement
Stephen and Julia Wholey are a father-daughter pair that need a spatially efficient home that they’ll both be able to live in comfortably and happily as they go through life together. A powerful symbolic meaning of the willow tree is its adaptability. It has the ability to not only survive but also thrive in the most challenging conditions. Therefore, by incorporating elements of a willow tree into my clients’ home, I can not only foster a connection to nature, revitalizing the spirit, but strengthen their ability to adapt to life changes as the father grows older and his daughter grows up.
